Appointments

  1. Are you currently accepting new patients? Yes. We are pleased to say we are accepting new patients. If your insurance company requires you to choose a Primary Care Physician, make sure you call your insurance prior to your visit to make sure you receive full benefits.
  2. How do I cancel my appointment? There are several ways to cancel your appontment to avoid fees. You can call during regular business hours and speak to a receptionist, if she is not available to take your call you may leave a message on her voicemail. You can also call afterhours and leave a message on extension 221. Please remember that all cancellations MUST be made within 24 hours of your appointment to avoid a fee.
  3. What if I have an emergency and I can not make it to my appointment? We understand that life happens! Please call our office as soon as possible to let us know that you will not be able to make your scheduled time so that we may offer it to someone else who needs it (you may follow the cancellation isntructions above). We will not charge you for this unforseen emergency, unless it becomes a trend.
  4. What if I miss my appointment? Once an appointment is made, please respect the time that has been reserved in our office for you. If you do not show up for or cancel your appointment, there will be a $25.00 no show fee assesed to your account for 15 minute appointments and $50.00 for 30 minute appointments. If this becomes a trend, we reserve the right to dismiss you as a patient.
  5. How long do I have to wait to get an appointment if I'm a new patient? Generally, if you need to see a provider for a sick visit we can usually accommodate you either the same day or within 24-48 hours. If you need to schedule a physical exam, it can take up to a month.
  6. If I'm already a patient, how long do I have to wait to get an appointment? We reserve several same day appoitments on each providers schedule. If you are sick and would like to see a specific provider, it is strongly reccomended that you call first thing in the morning (this is not a guarantee that you will be seen by the doctor of your choice). Depending on your flexibility, sick visits can usually be seen on the same day or within 24 hours, and well visits within a few weeks.
  7. What if I don't have an appointment, can I just walk-in? We strongly encourage you to call our office to set up an appointment to avoid a long wait time. However, if you choose to walk-in, you will be seen when there is a "break" in the schedule, or when each scheduled appointment has been seen (this could be hours). If you are having an emergency please notify the front desk.
  8. I have an appointment today can I bring a family member with me? You may have a family member present with you at the time of your visit. In order to best serve our patients, the visit will be limited to you only.
  9. I have an appointment for a physical do I need to be fasting? If you do not have a HMO insurance, we can draw your blood the day of your physical so you should be fasting 12 hours. You can have water, plain coffee, plain tea, and any vitamins or medications you would normally take. If you have a HMO insurance, we can not draw your blood in our office so the choice to fast is yours. If you plan on going to the lab that morning fasting is advised. If you plan on going to the lab at a later time, enjoy your coffee and/or breakfast! Please remember anytime you have blood drawn it always a good idea to be hydrated...drink plenty of water!

We make every effort to see sick patients the same day. With two offices, we can usually accommodate all same day sick visits. If you are sick, DO NOT wait to call our office! Please call at 8:00 when the phones turn on as these appointments go very quickly. If for some reason we cannot see you that day and you do not want to wait, you may go to Secure Medical Care, Nighttime Pediatrics & Adult, or Minute Clinic CVS.
